Chiropractic Neurology
Chiropractic neurology is a postgraduate specialty of the chiropractic
profession. Very extensive research in the field of neurology in recent years has yielded tremendous opportunities to improve
the health of patients by improving the function of their nervous systems using chiropractic methods.
Common problems caused by the altered nervous system control of
the body resulting from spinal dysfunction include head and neck pain, back pain, visual disturbances, hearing disturbances,
hypertension, digestive difficulties, breathing difficulties, impaired memory, impaired judgment and reasoning, sleeplessness,
muscle weakness resulting in problems in the extremities (shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees, ankles and feet), and urinary
and sexual problems. Spinal problems, through their effect on the nervous system, can even lead to dystonic (involuntary)
movements such as tremors.
Chiropractic neurological care of the joints throughout the body
(primarily the spine) not only reduces pain, but also helps to restore normal function of the nervous system, which helps
alleviate all of these conditions
